Does a quote mean the hardware is reserved?
Direct answer
No. A quotation and a confirmed reservation are different. Confirm allocated quantity, reservation expiry, payment conditions and the committed delivery date in writing.
What to check
Availability changes between enquiry and purchase. Distinguish an indicative quote from supplier-confirmed availability. Do not describe incoming stock as ready stock. Order-driven sourcing requires a fresh supply confirmation before a delivery commitment.
